Why are so few KeenOwl childrens’s storybooks available? [ Top ]
The short answer is that we are very selective and value quality over quantity.

KeenOwl is starting with a few storybooks that both deliver desirable life lessons and have broad appeal.  We have a pipeline of new storybooks in development and are working toward the goal of adding a new personalized children’s book every month.

Only a small percentage of children’s stories deliver the necessary combination of characters, context, values and lessons for them to be considered for development into a KeenOwl storybook.  Of those that do, even fewer lend themselves to the degree of illustration and personalization we use to make their life lessons appealing, relevant and effective.

Working in partnership with authors, educators, child specialists, parents and children, we take our time developing a KeenOwl children’s storybook to achieve the proper level of personalization and to verify that it communicates its life lessons effectively.

Is there a limit to how long a name or other personalization field can be? [ Top ]
Yes.  But while every field has a maximum length, we believe each is long enough to accommodate any appropriate input.

What if don’t know all the information to fill out a personalization form completely? [ Top ]
No problem.  This is a common situation, especially when they ordering a storybook as a gift. While the more you can provide to personalize the child’s story, we provide defaults for each of the non-child fields, and these are used in place of a personalization you do not know.

What else can I personalize in a KeenOwl book? [ Top ]
You can — but you do not have to — write a dedication to the child (something like “Happy Birthday Bobby from Grandma and Grandpa” or anything else that fits).  You can also upload a photo from your computer (perhaps a picture of you and the child in a memorable moment).  The dedication and the photo will be printed on the first page of the book.

A dedication is a wonderful place to say something to the child that will stay with the storybook forever.

Can I see what my personalized storybook will look like before I place my order?[ Top ]
Yes. The website will show you a preview of your personalized storybook before you place your order.  While the preview is not an exact reproduction of how your printed book will look, it does give you the ability to see — and change — all of fields that can be personalized.  To see what an actual printed book looks like, view the sample book available on KeenOwl.com’s menu.

What if I spell a child’s name wrong or make a mistake in personalizing the story?[ Top ]
We require that you to preview the information you entered before you can place your order.  It is your last opportunity to find and correct any mistakes.  Once you click Submit, a file is generated to print your storybook from the information you provided and you are charged for your order.  A storybook cannot be corrected after an order is submitted, meaning you will need to repeat your order to correct any mistake you make in personalizing a story.

How quickly will my order arrive?[ Top ]
That depends on two elements: Processing and then Shipping.

Standard orders are processed within 5 business days and Rush orders are processed within 3 business days.

How long it will take to ship your order from us to your address depends on where you live and which shipping method you choose.  Review your Shipping options here.

Please note that the shipping time begins the day an order leaves production.

Can I rush delivery?[ Top ]
Yes.  United States Postal Service provides Priority and Express shipping to addresses in the U.S. and its territories, and Global Priority and Global Express shipping to international destinations.  Rush delivery charges will apply.  Not all services are available or recommended for shipping to APO/FPO addresses.  If in doubt, consult with the post office or a military representative.

Please note that the shipping time begins the day an order leaves production.  The shipping time quoted for Rush orders is only for the shipping, it does not include the additional 3 business days required for production.

Is it safe to use my credit card?[ Top ]
Absolutely!  KeenOwl.com is a Yahoo! Merchant Solution.  All payment transactions through Yahoo! and Paypal are securely encrypted.  KeenOwl does not store a customer’s credit card information.

Will any of my information be shared with other companies?[ Top ]
KeenOwl does not sell, rent or share personal information.

What if I’d like to send a gift overseas?[ Top ]
You can personalize and ship a storybook via the United States Postal Service to anyone, anywhere.  Or you can send a Gift Certificate which will be delivered by email.

Shipments to the most popular international destinations (Canada, United Kingdom  and Western Europe) and often sent via USPS Global Priority Mail and typically take 4 - 6 business days to reach its destination.  Have more questions?   Review your Shipping options here or contact us at service@keenowl.com.

Can I ship my order to a PO Box?[ Top ]
Yes.

Can I ship the books in one order to multiple addresses?[ Top ]
We cannot ship to multiple addresses for the same order.  If you wish to ship books to more than one address, please place separate orders for each address.
